Lakeland Local Market
Update 06/01/2012 – This market is no longer operating
You can find this new market in the front parking lot of Lakeland Community College in Kirtland, Ohio (7700 Clock Tower Drive, Kirtland, Ohio, 44094). The market is a project of the Lakeland College Green Group. The Green Group is a new student organization, of which Dana (my hubby) is the president! He has joined the ranks of those unemployed who are giving back to their communities by volunteering while looking for work or going back to school.
I was able to get away last Friday at lunch to check out their offerings. Just a few vendors for now but as more produce ripens in Northeast Ohio you will be able to buy your favorite fruits and vegetables here. On this day there were some yummy baked goods and beautiful arts and crafts. Bookmark their web site and check each week for featured vendors, musical entertainment and product demos. After the photos I will list these vendor contact info. Now, walk with me…..

Bakers Rack, all kinds of cookies, bars, breads. I got some Italian Bread and cookies here, all yummy of course!

Adopt a puppy! Well not me, but you might want to – these are at the Animal Rescue Center in Eastlake, Ohio

Baked goods and wine jellies from J. W. Percival Farm – I got Cabernet and Reisling jellies – so good you won’t want to share!

Stitch and Screen – Can personalize anything. I got a Mentor Cardinals Class of 2010 blanket personalized for Andy, he will love it!
This concludes our shopping expedition for today! I hope if you live in the area or are visiting the North Coast this summer you will stop by the Lakeland Local Market. And if you are a vendor looking for a spot to sell, click over to ther group’s web site for contact info. It’s going to be my Friday lunch hour spot every week so I’ll see you there!

Great photos and I’d say a nice selection of offerings given it’s just beginning. I’d like to see some of those jams and baked goods in our area.
I hope you have a great season and thanks to Dana for lending a hand.
